Does the following mean they no longer check for the "one question"? Or was this always the way?

answers will not be given full marks.
• show all working in your answers to numerical questions. No credit will be given for an incorrect answer unless

• make sure chemical equations are balanced and that the formulas for individual substances include an indication
of state

Well, shouldn't you be calculating to the correct sig figs anyway? That's what I've been doing for all my calculations... just in case. Also, my teacher is rather picky with having the right sig figs in each step so I guess I'm just used to it now...

Yeah I know, but according to this, they only assess one question.

i think he means that "will they deduct marks for every question with incorrect sig figs" or will they only do it once?

yeah i thoguht there was a specific questoin that states 'give your answer to the correct number of significant figures' or something.
