Probably about half an hour on average. 2 nights before a SAC is when it counts. :P

For me, back in those year 12 days (ahhh the year 12 days... never want to go back to them again... they comple----)
AHEM.
Back then I would come home around 5:00pm, rest until 6:30pm have some dinner, then start studying from around 7:30pm or so and finish around 10:30pm, and then watch some episodes of South Park or Death Note or whatever show took my fancy at that particular point in time.
And then Final Fantasy XIII came out and my entire plan was seemingly disturbed, but more on that later...

I think anything above 3 after school is ridiculous. You must be on Ritalin or something to stay that focused.

No-doz :D But only when large amounts need to get done in one night, which is inevitable.

I probably do around 3, but 2 hours is actual study.

I have 2 free/study periods every day, so do those count?

I actually do work in those periods, and then about another 1.5 hours after school. So all together about 3 hours of homework + study a day outside class time.

I try to avoid doing work after 7:30pm. That's rest time for me. :D

It depends on whether a SAC is approaching or not. I try to study every night for a few hours (doesn't have to be in a row) and other nights I take a break. I've noticed though I never regret studying unless I miss out on something important. It might suck in the moment but while sitting a SAC you know it was worth it.

My nipples are hooked up to a battery with a 6 hour timer. If I slack for even a second I receive an electric shock that would take down an elephant.

I just laughed so freaking hard, HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

On topic: Because I go to a crappy school.. the library after school is filled with dicktards who scream and dance around etc. so I just study at home or at a friends house instead.

I really feel sorry for the 3 people who voted "8-9 hours"... I don't see how that is possible.

I study 3 - 4 hrs, but thats including atarnotes, music, and msn. So technically, with that, my brain power is probably reduced by 30 - 50%. So study time in real terms, 1 - 3 hours?

And I still fall behind in school, with some subjects. Is this how its meant to happen?

About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle
