Memorising the detailed stuff

It has come to pre exam period and everyone will start revising and begin prac exams.
My dilemma is that i cant find a way to memorise/study the finer details of most of the concepts i.e. spectroscpy, chrom etc.
How do you guys remember these sorts of things? - I was thinking maybe if i just do some prac exams then i will probably study them at the same time, but after doing a fair few exam style quetsions i think i really do need to just study/memorise them.

write notes over and over again or try revising with friends e.g. attempt to explain the concepts to them :)

Try and teach other people in your family (ideally younger siblings) the concepts, best way to learn.

I agree teaching other people is the best way to reinforce your knowledge, but it's kinda hard if you're not 100% sure about what you're talking about and if you dont know all the minor details. Ill give it a shot, also ill try rewriting those definitions and stuff.

Ok, some of my advice:
Check out the reaction pathways mindmap in the notes section - really helpful for memorising those reactions. Spectroscopy - draw a table with advantages, disadvantages, applications and "how to interpret results" for each different type of spectroscopy.
If you want to practice teaching, get skype and skype with your friends.
Checkpoints! do it!
