My physics teacher no joke told us that he "didn't agree with the decision to cut transistors (etc...)" and so he was going to "teach it to us anyway whether we liked it or not".

Do you have Geoff Davies? That guy is a legend...

I wish I had a physics teacher who could actually teach physics :(

Does anyone know if you need to know about pn-junction and internal resistance of an emf??

I think its probably good if you have a basic idea of pn junctions (helps with explanations sometimes), haven't seen internal resistance on any present course exams :)
