Equal rankings?

OK, I found it.

Here students B and C are ranked equally after student A who received the highest internal score (ranking) and external score.

"Students b and c have equal coursework scores (79), but student b has a higher external score (70) than student c (67). They receive identical moderated scores (73) and remain equal third in the school's rank order."

So B and C remain equal third, which is the lower of the two rankings.

Mao:
equal third has the same meaning of equal second =P

but the moderated score take account of the average of the performance of the students, that is, on average, 79 -> 73
