give the UMAT a go - if you can get into Monash then go Monash.

Location is much better compared to RMIT.

Monash requires 140 min, I think roughly ~40/50%

You would still need chemistry, there are no exceptions, a course like pharmacy will always require chemistry as a prereq, whether the uni la trobe, monash or RMIT.

Plus Pharmacy would have a lot of chem associated with it...

Exactly. It's chemistry non-stop. If you missed 3/4 you wouldn't cope - hence it's a prerequisite.

The Monash cohort is around 240 - 260 students. You also pretty much know everyone since all your lectures are together, on the same campus, taking the same tram (if you're a public transport user) ... same library, etc.

There aren't that many downsides between the three universities besides your personal location preference. You'll all end up fighting for the same pre-reg positions. The only potential downside is that RMIT and LaTrobe students won't know who Louis Roller is (hur hur hur).

(Unless he invades your uni's to teach, which I can see him doing. Ooooh in-joke. Snap. Nobody gets it. Going back to exam cramming hole.)

LOL - Toothpaste - Can you name everyone doing Pharmacy at Monash?

I can for RMIT... =)

(No I am not bagging Monash - Monash is clearly better - I'm just curious.)

If literally, no of course not. Bit of an exaggeration since there are always those elusive faces you'll never put a name to, yet see them around a lot. That line should have been taken as: we're all quite familiar with people in the cohort to an extent not quite that of RMIT Pharmacy.

Nothing wrong with bagging Monash. I'd quite like to kick the balls of whoever scheduled two of our exams with a lot of rote learning on back-to-back days. My eyes are twitching from fatigue.

Just wondering, I'm doing Chemistry this year (which I should be studying for since my exams in 6 days!), but I don't like Biology very much at all. I've wanted to be a pharmacist for SO LONG now that I'm starting to have doubts about whether I can actually get into the course and make my way through it all. Do you think it was truly difficult to get in and there's no hope for people like me - someone who isn't in the top of every class, but has better motivation?

Are there any cons about the Pharmacy course at Monash, La Trobe or RMIT? Do the good points outweigh the bad?

It's this point in the year that I'm really scared about whether I should continue going for my dream job or not. There's the money, effort, time..

I still can't believe I had to pay for the UMAT - paying to do an exam! Is MedEntry any good?
