I wouldn't start notes now, it's probably a bit late for that

I'd start spamming exams... then, as you do them, you will find out your weak topics. Just make notes on those weak areas, because it will save you heaps of time writing notes on stuff you already know..

I think notes are helpful so long as you don't invest too much time in making them. Compiling a succinct list of important things while doing exams is a good way to go - after all, when you're on the train on the way to school you can't really being doing a practice exam, but you can be reading over notes.

A "list of common mistakes" is probably the most helpful form of notes, in my opinion.

I agree in that a list of important / challenging ideas is useful for study. That said, checkpoints and practice exams are far more useful...

I think a combination of both, perfecting theory is much better than knowing how to do ONE specific question.

i think you should be revising all material, like learning everything before you complete praccies....most praccies all ask the same sorts of questions, or irrelevant stuff. The 2011 mid year will try to confuse us with all the theory by mixing topics etc. I think best practice is get theory done, then do practice exams
