Confused about the Mags'

(1/2) > >>

elaine:
I"m having trouble understanding the divisions of the Magistrates' Court.

One book has this: divisions under Mags' Court are Drugs, Koori, Family Violence, Neighbourhood Justice, Sexual Offences List.

Another lists the Children's Court and Coroner's as a division.

I am really confused. Are the Children's and Coroner's Court a division of the Mag's Court? Are the diagrams even explaining the divisions, or is it something else?

Thanks!

sheepz:
from what i can remember the koori, family violence etc are divisions of the magistrates court. childrens and coroners courts are federal ones i think so they sort of are on the same level as the magistrates court but are not exactly a division of it... im not that sure though sorry
