it does look pov at this large size, but when you shrink it down to fit on the logo...
compare:
if you have a higher res copy of "trial3.gif", then just superimpose my hat.png on top (resize where you see fit, its all vectors)

and after a bit of wrestle (because the file ice_blockie uploaded didn't have a clean transparent edge and wasnt smooth enough :P and I just wanted to add a bit of shadowing)
transparent background:
white:
forum [lighter] colour (use this instead of transparent for the logo area)
forum [darker] colour
and black (just because I had an urge to)
and the banner (just for fun)
(and someone split the thread... we're on a different topic now :P )
