Is it possible to change semester 2 units now without copping any penalty? Because at the start of the year I enrolled for both semesters but now I'm having doubts in doing BTC1000 next semester I wanna do AFC1030. Thanks

Next semester I'm already enrolled in
BTC1000 (want to change to AFC1030)
ECC1100
ETC1010
MKC1000

Yes there shouldn't be a problem if you do it now...

The census date for semester 2 is 31 August 2011. As long as you withdraw before then you will not be subject to any penalties (financial or GPA).

Similar question. If I've applied to swap one of my Semester 2 units for a unit offered by another faculty does anyone know when it will be approved and will it be changed for me or will I have to go into WES and change it myself

They should change it for you. You'll find that you'll be unable to change it yourself on WES, since you need approval.

You always get until the end of the second week of semester to add in a new unit. You then usually get a month to decide to drop that subject without incurring any fees

The question of whether to get the hard subjects out of the way or not...

completely your choice, you eventually have to do it anyways and as each year goes by, that 1st year hard subject wont be hard compared to your other 2nd/3rd...etc. subjects
