Don't feel too down about it mate, it was a very challenging paper; it's good that you're attempting the hard ones. Just have a look at the solutions and then you'll know how to tackle the curly questions on the VCAA exam.

If you want more hard ones, I suggest KBT 2010 (best of the non-VCAA ones IMO) and NEAP 2011, but NEAP 2011 does have some dodgyish questions.

this is so weird..
my scores for neap and lisachem were like 86% and yet stav and insight were in the 70s.. :/
Lets pray for a hard paper this year then

Question 2 in SA was a bit dodgy with the Mass spec out of order. It was this qusn that was probably the hardest to deal with. But i found that i knew the answers for about 95% of the exam, but i ended losing stupid marks here and there and not expressing my self properly to get 85-80%. It all about minimizing stupid errors, because they all add up in the end - can easily send you from an expected 90% to 80%...
