Can anyone please explain qn 8 from Further Electronics in VCAA 2009?
Solutions says 10V across capacitor, so why are they dividing that over the resistance of the resistor?
Can someone answer this please, and there is a similar question on the 2010 paper, further electronics Q7. Why do they use the voltage of the capacitor and not the resistor when finding current?

Just did VCAA 2010, lost four marks again...

About the planet's weight qn, I thought it was 0 N because it's in free fall isn't it?

Things in freefall still have gravity acting on them

lol but I've encountered this type of question twice before, both times answer was 0N and lost the marks both times, so this time I put 0N and get it wrong lmao. An example is in the neap 2011.
