How can I get a 48+ in further maths, I'm really trying hard, and since I only got 39 last year, I'm repeating this subject, since its my only hope of getting a 90 atar. I scored 94 in the first Sac, and our second Sac is on monday which I will also Ace. I'm ranked 3rd out of 60 students, and will probably be first or second in the next few SACs.

How many marks can I afford to lose of the final exams so that I end up with a study score of 48-49 on my final exam.

Aim for a 50. If you fall short, you'll probably still get your 48 or 49. 50 generally means trying not to lose a single mark, so just go in with this frame of mind and see how you go. Sure, it's a lot of pressure, but you'll need this to drive you through it.

As shinny said, you're going to have to aim for a 50.

Best advice I can give:
Smash out as many practice exams as you can. If you manage to do around 50 or so, I think you can rest easy during exam time.

You've already got a decent score in Further, meaning you understand the content already. You should start doing exams now to refine your exam taking technique (believe me, there is an altogether different technique for sitting the Further exam).

Don't drop more than 2-3 marks in both exams.  Up there, every mark counts.  One mark dropped is almost equivalent to one study score dropped.
