Sound looks to me the easiest after skimming through it, photonics looks interesting but difficult and sound looks easy but long and the synchrotron looks like a bit of memorising is involved. Guess i'll be going for sound. :D

I'll just chip in - sound has a blend of theory and applications (basically wave theory coupled with speakers). It's also pretty enjoyable if you're a musician, as you can look at how your instrument works, and even bring it into class :)

I haven't actively attempted any of the content from the other detailed studies, but from when I was choosing... sound appeared to be the easiest and simplest by far. And it is very simple and easy :)
