Psych major 'special arrangements'

I don't understand what this means:

"Special Arrangements

Students who undertake a major in Psychology will complete 125 points with 100 points taken as Arts discipline subjects and 25 later year points taken as breadth."

(for BA students). How is this different than regular BA students? Psych majors only have to do 25 points breadth? Or 25 of their breadth come from psych units?

For most people doing psych, it can't be counted as breadth, but since a psych major takes up so much of your degree, and covers a lot of sciencey stuff, 25 points of it counts as breadth. Comprende?
