Kinematics - constant acceleration.

Hey! Can someone help out with this question please?

A body is travelling at 20 m/s when it passes point P and 40 m/s when it passes point Q. Find its speed when it is halfway from P to Q, assuming uniform acceleration.

let $u=20, v=40$ , then $v^2=u^2+2ax \implies 40^2 = 20^2 + 2ax \implies ax=600$

now, we want $v'$ when $x'=x/2, u=20$ , so $(v')^2=20^2+2ax' = 400+2ax/2=400+ax=400+600$

so $v'=\sqrt{1000}=10\sqrt{10} \text{ m/s}$

I managed to get up to $as=600$ then i did something else completely different.
