You definitely need to have a lot of knowledge to gain a 40. Many people like psychology and will enjoy studying it. Hence making it more competitive to do well. And yes, three low A+s will get you a 40. No easy task though, it definitely needs to be worked for and won't come easily.

It's kinda hard to tell where 2011 will sit, it'll mostly come down to the extended response and how the assessors mark it.

my teacher says the cuttoff this year will be low.. she also said it'll be marked leniently [she's a marker so hopefully that's true]

High. Because more people are getting good grades. Hence high cut offs.
