I don't have one of those special calculators as of yet. Which model should I get and where do I get them?

You should generally work with what your school recommends, but if there is no such thing, most schools tend to use the latest graphics Texis Nspire CAS Touchpad, TI-84 or Casio Classpad 330 calculator. Choose one and learn how to use it properly before the exam.

Nah stick with if at this time of the year. Too late to adapt.

Well, if you can use it properly, why not stick to it?
Get your hands on a TI, try it out before switching. Who knows, maybe the Class Pad suits you more *shrug*

What's the problem with the class pad exactly?
From the sounds of it the problem of the class pad lies in methods, which I don't do.

Well then it depends.....you would have to learn all the 'tricks' and how to use the calculator yourself, are you willing to do that?
There isn't much of a problem with classpad at all, its just that last year there was a question that can't be solved by classpad but VCAA recognised that and fixed it marking...I'm pretty sure they won't stuff up again...so yea don't worry about last years issue to determine what calc your going to use
