I did not do Units 1 or 2 but I am still doing Units 3 and 4 - I think it's perfectly fine if you want to do Unit 2/3/4 Physics.

As appianway once told me if you know the basics of Unit 3/4 (even without doing Units 1/2) before you start it you should be fine. Hence you should probably do some prereading.

I'm guessing that if you can get through 3/4 without 1/2 quite comfortably, then getting through 2 without 1 shouldn't be too hard. You should probably get a second opinion.

You don't really need to have done Unit 1 to do Unit 2. The topics covered are pretty different.
That said, you could even do Unit 3/4 without Unit 1/2.

I would definitely recommend Physics if you enjoy it enough.

Difficulty really depends on how you are with your maths (VCE Physics is pretty calculation-oriented, but the maths doesn't really extend that much beyond basic algebra and graphs) and how much effort you put into the subject. I wouldn't say that physics is an overly difficult subject.

From my bad experience, I you don't like physics, don't do it. You are likely to be better in stuff that you enjoy.

yea, defiantly do it if you like it. i didnt do unit 1 physics, but i was so glad i changed into it for unit 2, it ended up as one of my favorite subjects, you WILL NOT be disadvantaged by not doing unit 1.

You will be fine as long as you enjoy it. Only one area of study in unit 1 is relevant for units 3/4; electricity. But it's very basic even in year 12 so you won't really be at a disadvantage if you decide not to learn it now.
But good luck if you decide to start physics  :)

You should be alright. I did Unit 1 and 2 but not well. I dodn't understand much but am doing quite well now. Sometimes concepts take time to click for me.

If your only peev against doing 3/4 is not having done 1 or 2, you'd be mad not to do it.
