Just wanted to find out what's been taken off previous years' exams/study designs for unit 4?
Like transistors and frames of reference for unit 3....

thanks :)

From what I know, there hasn't been too many changes from the previous study design to the current.

Again, this document: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/correspondence/bulletins/2008/march/2008MARLIFT.pdf
Going by that, there's only been a few minor changes; the majority being with wording.

I have a feeling that the area of studies from the pre-2004 study design is pretty similar for the most part.

I'll look into the changes closer by comparing the old study design documents to the current.

I couldn't find the previous study design document (pretty sure I saw it on the internet somewhere before), but I did find this document.

It outlines all the changes that were made from the 2004-2008 study design to the 2009 study design. It's from that vicphysics.org website, it looks like the document was put together by the AIP.

The first document is the original document, which covers all the units.

The second document is one where I've cut out all the other units except for Unit 4 and also I highlighted the changes that were a bit more substantial than just a rewording. If I remember correctly, the colour code I used was:
  • Yellow - addition to the study design
  • Orange - deletion from the study design.
