Wait, just so to get this clear.

Have you guys finished the unit 4 course already? And have you done enough checkpoints/unit 4 papers to get a feel of what the unit 4 exam is like?

I've finished Unit 4 and have done quite a bit of checkpoints/VCAA exams from pre-2008 that included all the equilibrium stuff, plus I've had a quick browse of current exams to get a taste of what they like to ask.

I can't speak for thushan, however I know he's completed the equivalent of Unit 4 stuff for IChO training - which he is currently jet-setting off as we speak! (or at least soon haha)

But I think ultimately, this is more of a training run. The MC won't really have many tricks, but in saying that there also won't be the uncertainty in answers etc, they are all within the course and valuable to know/check your understanding...

Whether we produce a second is another thing, but I'll see how I go. If I come across questions which I feel are highly important, I'll take note and just add them to a collection. If I get enough to fill an exam, then another will be made, but it all depends on how much time and creativity we have left before exams

Yeah, from the week following the exam until about a week ago. There isn't too much in the course, you'll be surprised yourself!

Chemical reactions preety much just invovles the transfering of electrons e.t.c where as nuclear reactions split and change the nuclei of atoms. so chemical -> electrons, nuclear -> nuclei/nucleus

Nuclear reactions actually break down the nuclear force within atoms, and break them apart/join them together in nuclear fission/fusion reactions. Because so much more energy is stored within the atoms, this is why nuclear energy produces so much.

Chemical, however, just involves the movement of electrons/atoms, whether it be sharing, giving, taking etc.

I've written 4 short answer questions so far, and I plan to have 6 in total. May slip in a 7th question if i feel the paper is too short. When I finish writing the questions I'll give them to luken to look over.

I'll put the paper on VN sometime this term or these term holidays, after luken and I am sure that the paper is error-free.

Yeah, will get back into perhaps changing a few other Qs etc after UMAT is over, but it should be finished by the school holidays. We'll get some people to check it over first before we release it to you guys, afterall we want it to be quality rather than speed hahaha
