hey guys

just wondering for the attached question
for a) and c), they give the answers as north and east
but it wouldnt completely be north and east would it? cause there would still be a vector (even its very small/big) that makes it almost north/east?
so arent their answers a little inaccurate?

For a: You are correct but it would be so negligible. Consider a vector with a magnitude 1000 times less going east. For the purpose of a compass it wouldn't be enough to be able to show (at least for the magnet shown).

Similar principle for part c.
