That was the one I was talking about the other day, it's the old 1st year/enhancement chem book.

Out of interest, what's the current textbook that Monash is using for first year/MUEP chem

Chemistry - Blackman

It's not on ebook anywhere though, unfortunately :(

That is unfortunate

Also, I just stumbled upon this resource: http://firstyear.chem.usyd.edu.au/
Specifically, take a look at the links to the left.

I don't know how much they relate to VCE Chemistry, but Chem 1001 and Chem 1002 are for people who haven't completed HSC and I think it would be pretty much equivalent to VCE chem (assuming it's like a foundation chemistry course). Chem 1101 and 1102 seem to be the standard course. Chem 1901 and Chem 1902 are for the people who did very well in HSC Chemistry and would be more advanced. Apparently the syllabuses are similar though, so maybe 1001 isn't a foundation/bridging course.

Still an interesting website worth exploring.

Some of the stuff is password protected (like a set of lecture notes for Chem 1902), but there's a chance that some of the passwords are mentioned on that site (as they did mention the chemcal password on there). But some of it (eLearning) thing asks for a university of sydney student login, so that stuff wouldn't be able to accessed.

Computer Resources
http://chemcal.chem.usyd.edu.au/ - University of Sydney's Chemcal thing (Username: chemcal, Password: helium)

http://firstyear.chem.usyd.edu.au/computers.shtml - Computer resources, lots of good links

http://firstyear.chem.usyd.edu.au/unit_summaries.shtml - Unit summaries looks to have some good stuff.

Some units have little resources, or some have a lot:

http://firstyear.chem.usyd.edu.au/Pastexams/chem1902.shtml

Sorted lecture notes by course:
These are the ones that weren't password protected. Some of the lecture notes are kind of rubbish by themselves, but some of them are pretty good. It's probably best to look at the course syllabus for the topics covered in each of the lectures.
