STS-135 The Final Space Shuttle Launch

(1/2) > >>

b^3:
So less than 3 hours to go until the intial planned liftoff of STS-135. Just wondering how many people on here will be watching, since nearly every time I come onto VN I find someone doing a Bachelor of Aerospace Enginering, which is what I am hoping to do. The weather has given them a 30% chance of liftoff so we'll see if it actually goes or not. So who is watching tonight? Here is the link for video -> http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html
countdown clock -> http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/main/index.html

b^3:
T-36mins 27 seconds for anyone who is interested. Anyone?

Thu Thu Train:
Yeah I'm watching. Can't miss the last shuttle launch

b^3:
My eyes are drooping, trying to say awake, I just dived from my sugar hit earlier, now crashing. Oh well, it'll be worth it when those booster rockets ignite :)

JinXi:
been watching this whole day  :D

What do you guys think will happen to the popularity of space programs amongst the vast public after the Shuttle program shuts down?

Sadly I think its going to decline slightly since they'll be more focused on data collecting/ detailed science stuff :'(

That is till the Mars program kicks it I guess :D Incase you guys dont know, the desired crew for the Mars mission is to be of our age group from what I've heard a couple of years back :)
