What I do know is that life sciences have taken a fresh turn towards computational analysis. A lot of drug design (rational drug design), proteomics and much of the biomedical field is turning to mathematical and computational models for newer advances. A bit of maths can go a long way.

That's exactly what the guys at Bio21 told the students doing Probability in semester 1.

Basically, "It is much easier to teach a mathematician biology than a biologist maths."  But if you're a cross-bred, OMGOSH!

Depends on what career you choose. What are you planning for your graduate course?

Doing psych will allow you to apply biology to psychological behaviour (useful if you want to do further study in psych). Doing maths will allow you to apply maths (and physics) to biology and chemistry (VERY useful if you want to do further study in biology and chemistry).

This. Im planning to do further study in chem and bio... i dont want to major in psychology- just an interest.
Hmmm now im really indecisive, had psych in mind but not im leaning towards maths :S hmmmmmmmm

Do maths. You can't apply psychology to the quaternary structure of proteins or work out why relenza works. You can apply maths to pretty much everything we see (except relationships. unless you're Randall Munroe).

Do maths.  It is far less work and will benifit your further studies in the physical sciences.  All you do in Calc 1/2 is problems...nothing else.

Psych will require you to make notes...do pre reading...write essays...do questions...the list just goes on. :p

Edit:  (Slumdawg is gonna kill me for advocating maths over psych haha)

First year psych, you only write one essay as part of your assessment.  Then you need to do 3 hours of compulsory research participation, attend the epically boring tutes and then the final 60% exam.

Piss easy compared to an 80% maths exam.  Though it's Calc 1/2 so it's still easy, though not piss easy.

Not sure if you're a guy, or which way you swing, but there'll probably be a lot more nice girls in psych than in calc.
Good advice here.
