For my SAC my teacher told me I need to know Maslows and Herzbers, I already know Maslows, but doing my NOTES now :P and doing Herzberg, I've also done Alderfer in notes just for diversity in knowledge.
For the exam, it should only be one and I don't think they would ask a specific Q on one of them, rather just a general Q. Just my gay SAC I need to know those 2
I'm having trouble finding how Diversity management and EOC's fit in the study design. But meh

Well EOC's is a bit easier to blend into the study design but Diversity management. I don't really agree with all the theory in diversity management, I tend to believe that organisation's should apply equal opportunity principles and not discriminate against particular groups but I tend to see Diversity Management as directly going against the selection process because by following the selection process and by identifying which applicant best fulfills the job specifications you should get the most suitable person for the job which should allow the organisation to have the best chance at fullfilling their objectives and maintainign high levels of productivty.
I interpret diversity managemnt as saying Ok well you were'nt the best applicant, but because you're black (for example) you can have the job. Seems stupid to me.

Ah recruitment and selection stage of establishing employment?
Makes sense

The HR manager would try to recruit and select the most diverse range of employees in order to enhance the organisations performance and competitiveness. The HR manager would also want to recruit and select diverse applicants that can contribute to the organisation to ensure that the organisations skill and knowledge base increases.
Management would try to create diversity within the selection of employees because it [advantages]:
- improves job satisfaction, motivation, work performance (employees tend to work better with people that offer a fresh approach to their usual way of doing things)
- contridbutes to an organisations skill and knowledge base
- cultural diversity can further help the organisation on a global scale
costargh:
The problem I have with diversity management is that the best applicants and potential employees should be selected regardless of the existance of diversity management. The concept of diversity management really doesn't make that much sense because the selection process should allow for the best applicant to be chosen for the position, with this person being seen as the best seleection for improving orgsnisational performance. If an applicant from a diverse group is the most suitable applicant, then they should get the job, but if they aren't the most suitable, they shouldn't be chosen purely because they are gay, or a female or because they are married.
