Unit 4 Folios

Does anyone know if they are externally marked? or do our teachers mark them. Because on the study design it states that our folios are subject to external mark, whereas my teacher claims shes marking them?

Any idea whos right?

No, teacher's mark your folio's however VCAA examiners have the authority to come and check folio's in your school and are subject to change. But make sure you make your folio presentable and easily readable because if VCAA  assessors are checking hundreds of folio's, they'll get pretty bored and most likely not concentrate so make it easy for THEM.

what are you designing btw, and how many pages of design have you done so far as part of your folio?

Im designing a perfume box for an independant store, as well as a logo and promotional t-shirt.
So far im about halfway through developing ideas for the logo and have completed about 25- 30 pages. Yourself?

20-30 pages?! back and front or one sided? is it an A2 book? amm well i've done 18 pages back and front so far on an A2 and i'm designing an invitation card for a wedding and wedding favor. Why are you designing three things when your only supposed to do 2?

One sided. A2 book. If you've done back and front then your doing well, thats equivilent to 36 pages. I love Viscom, so the more designs for me the better. You dont have to do 3, but i wanted to. Its not going to get marked, but i still want to design a shirt. lol- yet i dont think ill have enough time to do 3, ill see how i go. Wedding card and favour sounds great. Its annoying how i think of other things to design when ive already started this project !!

i know how annoying is that? you just think of something but you know it's too late! urhg. btw this is our last week of researching and stuff, soon we're going to be making the actually thingo's.

Have you already finished your second product? or you're actually constructing your first?

nah amm well i've researched my first, and using the research from my first ill construct my 1st and second piece. How are you going to do it?

Well by the end of this week my aim is to be up to refining my logo. So the next 5 weeks will be purely spent on generating, contrsuting the perfume box. Im trying to use as much media and material as possible. Today i got to use the airbrush!

the air brush?! where'd you get that from??

Our school has one, very fun to use. im pretty sure you can get one outside of school but it will cost a bit.

Its annoying how i think of other things to design when ive already started this project !!

i have changed my mind so many times its not funny.

currently im doing a magazine logo (like the font you see on the cover of magazines, same for all issues, like 'cleo' or whatever) for a magazine called 'eko' and a magazine spread.

ill think ill stick with that one

i've finished my research, i've finished my 1st piece and all it's left is my second piece. All together i have 27 pages back and front so 54 one sided.

Does anyone feel like they are drastically running out of time for this? i am.

yeah i do, i have 3 weeks left and nothing to show for however many weeks we have had, talk about doomed.
