Before we rush ourselves into a risky business like that, we have to ask ourselves a few questions:

What do we have to sacrifice in order to make it work? For many, it will be precious time that undergraduate students cannot forfeit.

Who are our competitors? Specialists at teaching, such as actual teachers, already working in well-known companies such as TSFX and Neap.

You are not wrong to say that profits can pay it off, but the opportunity cost of time and the risk of competition is too high. My original intention, however, was just to poke fun at your irrelevant quotation of "investment for life."

i'm a little skeptical at this idea

it is a good idea, but there's a few things to consider;

1. location. people on this forum are from ALL OVER the place. for that reason, springvale in south-east would be a bad place to hold such an event. Preferably somewhere in the city, and then rental goes up...

2. teaching resources. we do have many people who are truly awesome at what they do, but does that mean they can teach the course adequately? does that mean they can deliver the materials? does that mean there will even be materials to deliver? [they have to prepare the things themselves]
these will be uni students who would have much better use for their own time. the time they give up to prepare materials according to the study design and then the organisation and delivery of the actual lecture... will the monetary rewards offset this?

I believe asking questions on VN is certainly beneficial, but I do not believe many people here will have the ability to deliver a good lecture.

Yes, competition is immense. But we should be aware that the majority of  people can't afford the high-expensive fees for places such as NEAP and TSFX. Furthermore, it is difficult for many individuals to ask questions in such places filled of intellectuals and even for myself, i would be to shy to ask questions in a lecture. But i'm not in the position or the right person to suggest something. It really depends on the undergraduate students here and whether they have the potential to run this tuition classes.

what is your actual point?

1) if this service was made available at low price, what make you think the more "well off" people won't come to this also?

2) if you are too shy to ask those questions in TSFX/NEAP lectures because of this perceived intellectual elitism, how might VN lectures be different?

your reply didn't address his argument at all, haha
