nitpicky question that's been bugging me for ages
ninwa:
How do you write electron configurations?
1s22s22p6 etc
or
1s22s2p6
Spot the difference .....
sabrina:
i'm under the impression that both formats are accepted. confirmation anyone :?
getting dizzy just looking at them lol
melanie.dee:
that took me awhile to work it out haha.
i do it the first way. but i duno if thats actually right?
Ahmad:
I do it the first way too.
Ninox:
We were taught to do:
(shell number)(subshell type)(*superscript* no. of electrons in the subshell)
So something like:
2 2 2
1s 2s 3s et cetera
Hope that shows up ok
