Learning Chemistry Unit 4 in two days.

In a nutshell:

Not studying for chemistry at all until the two days prior to chemistry exam (when all my other exams have finished).

What should I focus on? (assume that I barely know anything from the entire Unit 4 course)

Thanks :)

Eh... hm.

Equilibrium?  Easy to pick up, you'll probably get it in an hour.

butrville: All my exams are finished by then, so the only subject left to study for is chemistry!

polky: Kinda already get Equilibrium (phew), thanks to my friend's 20 min speed tutoring :) ... 4 months or so ago.. hm

I was thinking of just rote learning a single exam and hoping for the best.

vce01: I didn't buy checkpoints - didn't think the $30 was worth it for a subject I wasn't even going to try in anyway.  Seems like a good idea though.

just do the last few year practise exams, they often ask similar style of questions. make sure you get the basic idea of them all. should help a lot.

Do the sample exam paper from this year, hopefully they'll have something similar in the real exam. Good luck!

Doing so still seems kinda stupid though, since studying comes at the expense of diminishing returns =T Excessively studying for your other subjects isn't going to be rewarding in terms of time...Unless the case is that you're cramming for ALL of your subs, then go ahead =P

^I just don't see the point when I know it's going to be my sixth subject.  What's the real significant difference between scoring a 10 (1 aggregate point) and a 30 (3 aggregate points)?  It isn't going to make or break my ENTER

Put your possible scores in to the enter calculator and see.

I do know that but maybe he should look at it to see how much effect it has. What happens if he gets his ENTER and finds out he is .25 below the ENTER needed for the subject (after the selection process)? He would start to wounder why he didn't concentrate properly in Chemistry and get that little bit extra.

lol even if you get 10 for Chem you can still get 99.90 (46 raw for Methods and Spesh and 50 for 3 other subjects) or 99.95 if you do Latin or one of those other ancient never-to-be-used-in-everyday-speech languages so yeah if you're dumping Chemistry that much then may as well concentrate on your other subjects. That's not to say I'm condoning such revision plans though.
