Who is even going to bother studying for Oral Exam?

I really don't see the point. You either know it or you dont. The examiners can see through memorization. You should just be using the skills that you have developed over the years of studying the language. Im going to go in there calmy and just give it my best shot. I see no point in wasting my time studying for it.

just my opinion

You don't have to memorize, just know roughly what you're going to say like in terms of your points. And have some good sentence structures (eg use of subjunctive, a range of tenses.) I'm sure you don't have to spend hours on it, but there's nothing worse than getting stuck. It's definitely beneficial to plan a little and maybe have a full run through at least once, but regardless as to how you're planning to approach it, good luck :) Mine's in exactly 2 weeks from now and I haven't done much either.

Mine's exactly 3 weeks away. I planned stuff to learn Term 1 holidays...still haven't.
And I hate speaking French..I hate it. Also majorly fail at detailed study...so should have listened in class.
In my mind I plan to start studying for all my subs like crazy...starting tomorrow.  :(

Even though I don't do French, I do Italian, I have quite literally studied my butt off! I even lost my exercise book with all my work in it and had to start from square one. But that didn't deter my performance, that just made me hungrier for that excellent mark in the Oral. I may not get an A, but my spirits will never be relinquished at the expense of losing my book! :)
