Monash Chemistry Challenge

Hey did anyone go to the chemistry challenge at monash Parkville today. I went, it was pretty fun, we got free lego block shaped usbs :) :)

has anyone ever been before ?

ummm, first we had all these lectures on formulation chemistry and diseases and stuff. Then we had some experiment where we had to mix some kind of e-coli with agar and then predict what kind of bacteria would be produced or something like that. After that we had to develop our kind of moisturiser/emulsion ( sounds girlish) with different kinds of chemicals etc. After all the moisturiser/ bacteria experiments had been completed the organisers decided who the winner was and that was about it.

It was kind of boring, people were complainig because it didnt really feel like a challenge, rather just a massive showcase of what the monash pharmacy/pharmaceutical science degree has to offer. About 110 people showed up from all different parts of victoria and it was only the third year the comp had been running
