Critical Articles for your Lit Text
Eriny:
On the Literature Exam thread I offered to upload critical journal articles related to whatever Lit texts your studying to whoever would like some more sources. If you have a request, post it here and then I'll post relevant articles. I probably won't read the articles (because otherwise I'll have no time!), so I'll have no idea how difficult they'll be to read. Also, I can't guarantee that there'll be much (or anything at all) on your text. King Lear, for instance, will probably have heaps of stuff whereas I found out last year that all that was really available on Sugar and Other Stories were book reviews (which can be helpful too!).
I'll also warn you that if you read a critical source, the writing will almost certainly be better than yours. This is not meant to scare you or to show you what you should be arguing. Before you look at any source, it's really important that you have your own opinions about what you think the text is all about and then read articles while you maintain the point of view. See if the articles can help you with providing evidence for your view or for you to extend your view, but don't give up your own view! Literature assessors want to see your work. They also aren't expecting that your pieces read like a journal article, especially since you only have 2 hours to write them and journal articles are written over a long period of time and are highly edited by many different people.
tl;dr: If you want lit sources, just ask.

Yeah thanks Eriny that would be great. The texts I'm doing are:
Antigone (Sophocles)
Keats major works poetry (John Keats)
Much appreciated if there is anything.
