428 people for first pref media/comm with a total of 1571
last year 106 people got in
no wonder the enter is so high...
i feel sorry for rmit though, their proff comm and media courses both have had more people put them as the second or third preference than the first
cos thats not at all indicative

Went thru each institute and just did CTRL + F and typed in 1056 until i came to an institute that had the right number there.

My course has 2050 total applicants. Ill beat them all so im not fussed. :)

What makes it better is that the majority of people (over 1300) of the people have it in their top 6 preferences.

I have it at number 7 so badluck all u people who wanted it more than me Mwhahah

I cant get into my top 5 courses due to Methods pre-req :( And 6th pref im gonna switch with 7th pref cause id prefer 2 do 7th pref even thou its lower in terms of enter

I dont understand the whole "Round 1 offers" thing. Does that mean of the thousands of people who applied, ONLY x number (Round 1 offers) will get in? So.. If the Round 1 offers number is 5, there'd only be 5 people in the class? :\

i think the first round offers are awareded to the people that apply for the course and achieve the highest score...IM NOT ENTIRELY SURE though. :)

Yeh Round 1 offers means how many people are offered a place in that course for that round , which in theory should go to the people with the highest ENTER (unless you have special consideration or your course doesnt purely go on ENTER).

Round 2 and 3 offers are given out after people decline their Round 1 offers, giving more space in those courses.

Its easy to think that there are 2000 people applying for this course and only 200 get in, but in reality the most people have say, over 6 preferences (with a max of 12) there arent actually 1800 disappointed people because they may have gotten into a higher course etc
