Hmmm, I have an unavoidable clash with Chinese Tute A
There are 3 groups, the first one is at Noon, but I also have PHYS2020 at noon, the second is at 1pm, but I have MATH2405 then, and the third is at 2pm, but I have physics labs going from 2pm to 5pm :/

In the case of a direct clash like this, what usually happens? :/

Not sure what "usually happens", but... do you mean that within Chinese Tute A, there are 3 groups that clash? If so, would it be possible to transfer to a differently-lettered Chinese tute entirely (eg Chinese Tute B)? Course convenors, in my experience, are happy to do this kind of thing if you have a clash - the linguistics convenor did this for me a couple of hours ago.

If this is not the case, you might have to make do with course recordings and lecture notes etc for physics or maths lectures. My philosophy lecturer mentioned that if a student can't attend, the convenor should be notified, and that "consideration" can then be given to that student. Whether that means easier grading or what, I don't know, but the same might apply for science lectures.

I'm pretty sure you need to go to physics labs tho.... ;)

Basically, just email the convenors for each course and explain the problem. As I've said, in my experience, they've been very helpful. Sorry if I haven't been, haha :D7

thanks jejak! I guess I'll have a talk with the lecturers then.

For Chinese there are 3 tutes per week I must attend, A B and C. Each of these have 3 group timeslots. For B and C there are no clashes but for A all timeslots are unavailable.

Hah. You don't need to go to lectures, you know. I'd recommend booking it over the clash with MATH2405 - you can get on just fine with the notes for that course, seeing as in the lectures all Dayal does is read straight from them anyway.
