AEROBIC SYSTEM

<< < (2/3) > >>

akkxn:
VCAA makes a big deal about how the aerobic system remains dominant even after LA system becomes significantly involved after passing LIP.

However, can LA system be dominant in an instance like where the aerobic system has not had time to "warm up."

E.g. the first 30 seconds of a 400m race, LA system is dominant E.S., and LIP has been exceeded.

amirite?

mtwtfss:
Um, i think your right yes....

ash_dhs:
yeh it seems right
i think what theyre reinforcing is that once the aerobic system becomes dominant, it will remain so unless there is chance for recovery

cafa:
the chart ive got at home says the aerobic system becomes dominant after 75seconds of activity, at intensities below 80% max heart rate and during rest

This is the figure I've also learned, and believe is correct.
