Some advice.

Hey guys,

I've done Year 12 English, PE and Accounting (and religion but that doesn't count), this year while doing Year 11 Methods and Physics (as part of a '3-year VCE' course, complicated as to why I'm doing it but yeh). Next year I'm doing Methods, Physics and Further.

Just looking for some tips and advice on how to tackle Further Maths next year, as I really wanna do well in it to boost my ENTER.

Thanks.
2008:
English - 35
Accounting - 30
PE - 32

2009:
Methods
Physics
Further

from what ive heard, DONT SLACK OFF, as careless errors are easily made.
Try and do an extra module outside of the school curriculum to give you a bit more variety for the end of year exam. but hey im just a year 11 too =] thats just from what ive heard

2008 - Economics
2009 - Maths Methods CAS

Biggest problem in further maths is by far careless mistakes. Work really hard to iron them out when you can.

It's not a massive workload but just make sure you're on top of things, probably only afew hours a week during the year.

if you're only doing 3 subjects, then id really be looking at doing spesh. if you can take it ofcourse. further is way too less of a workload to do it in a year when there isn't a lot else to be worrying about. you might as well make use of the time, do a harder subject and pretty much guarantee yourself a 40+ score. with further, even if you've been really good throughout the year, the exam marks may not reflect that because it just takes a few marks and you can't even get 45. also have to take into account that the lower you get, the more it gets scaled down.
ENTER - 96.00

2009: Commerce/Law @ ANU.

Yeh but I don't want to be doing a full years work (Spesh, MMC and Phy) would be pretty massive load. I'm going to be working part-time aswell and just wanted to do further to really try and get 40+ and boost the ENTER.

You've made me think and I'm seriously considering doing Spesh now. Thanks for the suggestion.
