When something is put in the notation of {X:....}, what exactly is it asking you to find?

Since I always get confused/get the question wrong when something is presented in that notation, I thought I should ask before the exam tomorrow :P Lol.

Find x such that...

So this question's asking to find the values of x such that f(1-x) is greater than or equal to zero.
