Question asks to find the co-ordinates of the points where

Where f = [ 2 / (x-3) ] +4

and     f^-1 =  [ 2 / (x-4) ] +3

Answer states that you can equate  f  =  x   whys that is it because its an inverse, and that it is inverted along the equation y = x. scrub this, this  part this makes sense as they intersect along the y axis line anyway.

However

How did they get from:  [ 2 / ( x - 3 ) ] +4  =  [ 2 / ( x - 4 ) ] +3  to ( x - 4 )( x - 3 ) = 2
