I'm biased - but I gotta say, this is perhaps the best subject I've taken in  my VCE...a lot of work, but it's definitely worth it, especially if you have a teacher who knows their stuff well. You study the causes of and the new societies that resulted from any two of (well, your teacher's choice): the Chinese, French, American and Russian Revolutions (one revolution per semester). The exam format's pretty challenging though, with 4 sections that each demand a different writing format.

As a maths/science student Ive found it a really interesting break from the relative boredom of differentiation.

As a maths/science student I would not have done it if I wasn't in year 11 - its work.
