English Exam Study

So, I've got my Year 11 English exam in two days time. Its the same structure as the 3 + 4 exam (ie. Text response, media analysis and contexts writing piece).

I'm just having trouble studying for the exam. So, I was wondering whether anyone has any tips for studying for English exams, even with only a few days to go.

If it helps - the book I'm studying is Othello, and our context is something about discrimination...
2008

2009
Specialist Maths   |   Chemistry   |   English   |   Biology   |   Further Maths

We have it easy this year - no context writing piece for us so I'm unable to provide any tips for that.

Media analysis - I've been reading the papers a lot recently (because we were hinted that it's going to be on current issues). I've read the opinion sections thoroughly (and letters to the editor etc.)

Text response - Write essays and post it up for the community to check :) (I don't think you have to worry about it too much. It seems like you've got it in the bag.) I've been memorising quotes and adjusting my essay structure.

Is there much point in reading up on the latest issues when you are actually analysing the language used, nothing to do with the topic itself?

Knowledge of the actual topic barely helps whatsoever?
