Hey guys,

Which one do you think is better, StudyON for year 12, or Heinemann 2? I've heard that Heinemann is good for theory, and StudyON is good for questions, but I'm still not sure.

(our teacher advised my class to purchase both books, however, I think that would be just a bit expensive :) )

i have StudyON 1 which I used for yr11 and it's quite colorful. The questions however seem to be repetitive and relatively easier.

Actually, I thought Nelson was alright. There were some errors in the answers they provided to the questions, and perhaps sometimes there wasn't enough detail. But I thought of what it did explain, it was pretty clear.

StudyOn has a lot of information. Sometimes it's got too much detail, but I believe it covers everything you need to know. Perhaps not as visually "likeable" as Nelson, but it's pretty good.

I haven't seen Heinemann 2, so I can't say anything about it. XD Although, I did use Heinemann 1 in year 11, and I found that quite tedious to read through. I felt it could have explained some parts more succinctly. From an opinion of a friend who did use Heinemann 2, she said it was pretty much the similar case.

Just my two cents. xD

Although Heinemann is a bit wordy and ugly, it is definitely the most complete textbook and has some quite challenging questions. Nelson is missing a lot of stuff (it doesn't even cover sulfuric acid? whuuuuut!?) and its questions are a bit simplistic I think...
