Alternate Text Books

Just wondering how you guys went about using an alternate Maths Methods text book; as in your school uses one and you prefer the other.

- Do you do the coursework in the school text book or the alternate one
- Do you do the chapter reviews from the school text or the alternate text
- Did it effect your understandability of the format of school-based SACS. (the questions may have been worded the same as how the school text would word them, for example)
- Etc.

Generally, SACs are taken from exams, not you're textbook (it would be too easy otherwise)

Also generally, teachers don't really check you're work like they might do in Year 7-8, so it's up to you what you want to do.

Yeh if you have a bad textbook, don't waste your time and try and get work from another. I didn't bother with Maths Quest all year pretty much and did work from other places. Negotiate with your teacher to let you do exercises from the other textbooks if your work has to be checked.
