--- Quote from: vcestar on December 15, 2008, 08:48:05 pm ---Why are you people so eager to get out of Uni as soon as you can? Double degrees are awesome, because you are well regarded when you enter the workforce. This means you reach higher positions such as executive or whatever much quicker then someone with a normal single degree.
While this is not applicable at all times, it is for most.
Hence by spendind 1 extra year, you are pretty much taking a short cut in terms of getting a job position which u wud have fought 5 years for.

good point really..

Maybe because I want to be working... and not studying for most of my life (that's just me), despite my thirst for knowledge, I do want to start a family one day, the bills wont pay themselves :P...

No. Your chances of earning more in a shorter time increases! Hence giving you more time!
And besides ask any adult, they hate working they cherished their uni-study days.

Double Degrees are useless in Finance in my opinion. Having double majors (eg. Acc/Fin) will is more than enough that employers are looking for. You will have a shorter degree and start earning higher salaries much faster than Double degree graduates lol.

Oh and in my case it wouldn't get me far... I want to be a CA and I can't be one if I continued the Double Degree :P (Mind you it was 3 years as well as the single degree)..
