I haven't had many issues with Vista at all on my spanking new hardware...

...except the bloody old printer.

I would simply say, avoid Vista if you need to run old-ish hardware.

Or oldish software.
The incompatibility really sucks.
In 2006 Fitness played: IT - Processing and Management (32).
In 2007 Fitness played: English (28), Specialist Maths (25), Math Methods (32), Multimedia, Software Development (31).
In 2008 Fitness is playing: Computer and Mathematical sciences at Victoria University.

Actually, Battlefield 2 refused to work in XP for me, but worked fine in Vista =o

Maybe it was a game error? Or you didn't have DX10?

Umm, XP != DX10 at the time.

Although, I'm suspecting that my DX10 card was having problems with going back to DX9 (8800GTX) - hence the problems. Otherwise, still an unknown problem.
