Any recommended programs for Ti-89?
« on: December 22, 2008, 09:47:37 pm »

I've downloaded Mao's Euler program (still don't know what it does but I've got it there just in case).

I've looked at ticalc.org which has an extensive list of programs, which is good, but I don't know which ones are 'better'.

Has anyone found any program for the Ti-89 particularly useful?

(I don't know how to program either so I can't really create one to suit my needs.)

Thanks

there really isn't anything your 89 can't do, but here's a few things that you should know how to do on your calc

-slope field
-parametric equations
-learn Euler's method [properly as well as on the calc]
-complex numbers [especially how to use 'i' and cSolve]

and apart from that, there really isn't anything you need to be addind to your 89, apart from tetris and snake. :P

and Bomberman! :D But yeah, I only had my self made vector resolute and Euler's methods programs (which I barely used anyway).

I remember there was a nice little program that converts cartesian coordinates into polar in 5 characters.
but i cannot remember what it was anymore :P

Thanks Mao I'll be sure to take a look at the mentioned stuff.

If anyone has any programs they've written up and would like to share it'd be appreciated :P

Q: Is resetting the Ti-89 by holding down left and right arrow and 2nd key and pressing start? And that just wipes any entries before and not the programs right?

I will post up some source for some vector programs i've written, but they are really superfluous to your needs. I didn't use them in practice/actual exam once [just wrote it for fun]
