Fuck I'm so smart. On a mutually agreeable date, Mao is to leave the bound notes in a national park or other relatively empty place) close to his house (easily accessable for Mao to get too). He will hide it somewhere and tell her where it is. She will pick it up from there with exacal. Everyone is happy.

But costargh nominates himself as a middle-man for this 'transaction' as Mao and caramel probably don't want to be talking, and once he finds out this secret place, he runs down and ends up taking the notebook for himself. COMMOTION ENSUES! WILL CARAMEL EVER GET HER NOTEBOOK BACK!? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON VN.

This is a game of tug of war and whoever cries the loudest and throws the biggest tantum will win. Let the games begin!
oh and we all know who is adept in that :S.

I want them back because they're mine. Why the hell wouldn't I want my belongings back :P

Fair enough. He should give it back because it belongs to you. But surely there is no urgency to get you're VCE study notes back. I mean, when you get them back, I'd happily place a bet that you wouldn't start reading and studying the notes immediately, because lets face it, you don't need them anymore. If you genuinely want to expand your knowledge further on the subject, perhaps read some other resources. To be honest, I think you're being anal about the situation and just need to move on for you're own benefit.
YESSSSS, EXACTLY. Why would you bring this into the attention of the community caramel? What do you think WE would do about it? I find it very, very hard to believe that the reason you want your notes back is so that you can go over them.

Because:
a) failure to respond to PM about returning them
b) failure to take any steps to return it through asking publicly on IRC
I am trying to get them back, and hoping publicly will help speed it up given that he has no intention of returning them quickly. Coblin's posts on page 2 are a good indication of how I feel. He has plenty of time to do it and yet is only considering himself and is making no plans to return it.

I can't reproduce them and I wish to be able to refer to them ok.

being selfish at this time of the year is justifiable. do you expect him to shave 2 hours out of his life right in between exams just so you can get your stupid notes? why don't you take a trip down to southeast victoria to pick them up yourself, it'll probably take just as long, only difference being you aren't in the middle of your vce exams. he is not obligated to return them to you as soon as you want them, according to him the terms were 'take as long as you like' so he is not in the wrong - he has said that he will return them WHEN HE CAN. I'd say that you are being more selfish by demanding them from him during this stressful period. If you like "learning", shouldn't you be seeking other resources, there are MUCH better ways to learn than to go over notes that you wrote a year ago. Which subject were they for anyway?

If I were in Mao's position I'd piss on the notes before returning them to you, you're being a bitch.

-English Language
-I already live in SE melbourne (SE victoria = country :P)
-I don't know specifically where to go because he won't say (for some reason, we all know what suburb he lives in but I can't go doorknocking every house)
-I am in the middle of my uni exams too. They *do* matter and unlike VCE you actually need 50% in them to pass the unit.

i meant south eastern suburbs =\

50% is more than achievable, i know engineering students who did hardly any work in their first year and passed easily, given your enter score result i doubt you will have any problems either.
