General advice on UMAT
orsel:
Yep, basically my 'skipping' technique was to do the questions with the shortest stimuli first, and for any question where I couldn't instantly understand the methodology needed to solve the question, I would skip it.
Section 3, try and find the 'visual orientation' questions, not the numbers manipulation ones, in IQ books. An example of a visual orientation question would be trying to find which unfolded pattern builds the cube shown in a picture. There are several generic categories of questions in section 3, but its kinda complicated to describe in detail; if you don't have Medentry yet I'll post it up with the rest of the guide 2 weeks from now.
lacoste:
Which company do you recommend to practice for UMAT?
shinny:
MedEntry if you can afford it. There's another program called AMEP or something which is a bit cheaper and gives lots of notes, but the questions are of a much lower quality for section 1 and 2. Also, notes probably won't help that much anyway.

Hi,
I'm sitting UMAT this yr and but I'm not too familiar with the marks required.
Can someone please explain what results you get and whether universities give interview offers based only on UMAT or do they wait for the ENTERs to then determine it
Thanks
