Hi,
I am still trying to decide on my subjects. I am commencing the Bachelor of Science. Further study plans include either entering Veterinary Science after first year (if I get in) or completing Science and applying for graduate Medicine or Veterinary Science. The prerequisite subjects for Vet entry are Biology, Physics and Chemistry. I already completed Biology as an extension study, therefore I have a "spare spot" in each semester.
I was going to do Calculus 2 and either Data Analysis or Linear Algebra, however since looking at the requirements for the Bachelor (a max and min of 300 points), I realised that this would stop me from taking on 2 science subjects later on in the course.
What subjects should I choose to fill up the empty spots? I have been advised not to commence second year Biology by the biology co-ordinator. I could always do 3 subjects each semester (Physics, Chemistry + breadth), however I don't believe that would look appealing when trying to compete for a spot in Vet Science.. Should I take on 3 or 4 breadth subjects throughout the year, including a level 2 breadth (to ease the load in second year science)? Ultimately, what would look attractive to the Veterinary Science faculty; without messing up my subject choices in the future, if I was going to continue on with Science?
