English Essay Ideas

Hey Atar Notes!
I was wondering whether it is better to use the ideas that I have come up with or the ones the school has come up with. In the exam, do you get better marks for original ideas? I feel like my own ideas are better, but I could probably write better on the ones we discussed in class because we went into more detail.

Hi! I think this isn't the most helpful question to ask. A more helpful one is 'which ideas can I explain with the greatest clarity and sophistication?' You may have the most original ideas in the world but if you can't express them in a way that's clear, concise and elegant, then you won't get the marks you want
